Q. Where's the best place to look if I can't find land in my area with planning permission to build a house?
A. Please check our Links page for self-build sites and information. Land-shop recommends the use of Plotsearch. They operate a subscription service, and have the largest selection of self build opportunities in the UK.

Q. Can I reserve/buy land direct from Land-shop.co.uk?
A. Currently Land-shop.co.uk offers a small selection of land for sale which can be reserved /bought direct. However, in most instances, land offered for sale is by either members of the public or land agents. When contacting vendors or agents please remember to state land-shop.co.uk as your point of referral.

Q. Should I use a solicitor when buying land?
A. We recommend using a solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer when buying or selling land.
Sometimes companies selling land may offer a free conveyancing service as part of a sale, without the use of solicitors. On relatively small transactions this may (or may not) prove to be a cost effective option. The latin dictum 'caveat emptor' applies as ever - 'Let the buyer beware'.
